We’ve entered planning mode

Winter is the time of year I give myself permission to rest. Rest fully. Rest deeply. Rest often. The time for running and chasing and hustling always comes back around—there is always plenty of time for that. For now, I focus on nurturing myself and the people I love.

I’m making rich, nourishing meals—warm and hearty, soothing and comforting. The wood stove is running at full throttle, and I find myself basking in the heat and glow that radiates from its belly. And in this slower rhythm, I’m dreaming. Big.

Rainshadow has always been a place unafraid of change. Like the seasons themselves, we believe growth requires both action and rest—times to expand outward and times to turn inward. Each winter brings reflection, and with it, the quiet understanding that what comes next may look a little different. While it’s human nature to cling to the familiar, we’ve learned that change often arrives as a gift, even when it carries a tinge of tenderness.

As we move into 2026, you’ll see some new faces, experience different event styles, and taste the farm through different chefs’ hands and hearts. What remains constant is our commitment to gathering, nourishment, and evolution—because evolving is what we are meant to do.

Which brings us to a bittersweet moment. The time has come for our Chef in Residence, Tristan, to move on. Tristan has become family to us—his steady presence, listening ear, and deeply delicious culinary creations have shaped Rainshadow in lasting ways. He’s ready to continue his journey, chefing and learning in new spaces, allowing his gifts to expand beyond our farm.

What we know deep in our bones is this: he’ll be back. Dropping in as a guest chef, delighting us with his food and personality. This isn’t goodbye—but it is a moment to pause, honor, and feel the sweetness and ache that come with change.

We believe that

weddings don’t need to follow a formula. They need to feel true.

Whether your celebration is expansive or intimate, carefully planned or beautifully simple, we offer a place where the landscape, the food, and the gathering itself are part of the story. From shared meals under open skies to quiet moments tucked into the garden, we work with you to create a day that reflects who you are and how you love.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding rooted in place, season, and intention, we’d love to talk.

things we’re loving 💕

We want you to be inspired and to live in health & gratitude. Here’s what’s feeding my stoke this month:

✨ I recently got LASIK and I have zero regrets. Send me any sunglasses you’ve been obsessed with. I’d love to add them to my new collection.

✨ I just ate at Bianco in Phoenix and just like Chef’s Table leads you to believe, the quality of their ingredient sourcing does set them apart. A reminder that food sourcing matters deeply.

✨ My chore coat is worn daily this time of year. Considering buying this one to rotate into the fold. Big pockets allow ample room for all the goods my hands can’t hold.
