We will be offering 3 cooking classes this summer. Each class will surround a theme and will be taught by our farm to table chef, Travis Taylor. Each class is offered for up to 8 people. We need a minimum of 4 people to run a class. Each class is $50/person.
Saturday, July 27th: Farm to Table cooking class – 4:00pm-7:00pm
This class will surround the idea of Bricolage, cooking with what you have. Class participants will harvest their ingredients from the garden, then bring them back to the kitchen to cook up a meal using their fresh ingredients. Our chef will teach knife skills, basic cooking skills, share recipe ideas, and create a farm to table meal with participants!
Saturday, August 17th: Pickling class – 4:00pm-7:00pm
Learn to preserve summer vegetables through the process of pickling in our kitchen! We will work with many different farm fresh vegetables in the kitchen and learn the process of canning food to save for later.
Saturday, September 14th: Fermentation class – 4:00pm-7:00pm
Learn the basics of fermentation with our farm to table chef! This time of year we are seeing lots of cabbage, so we will be teaching class participants to make sauerkraut. Participants will begin their fermented project in our kitchen and will be provided detailed instructions of how to ferment in their kitchen.
