April CSA comin’ attcha Thursday the 2nd!
We have passed the equinox and are into Spring!! Its baby season at the farm. I can hear the turkeys in their brooder. The first batch of meat chickens are already big enough to explore outside. We’ve got one healthy calf and two more on the way. We’ve got a propagation house full of baby planties. Piglets are expected any day. Its full-on attention to tiny things. The days are already too long and I’m having a hard time getting a full nights sleep. The candle starts to burn at both ends and I am loath to give up winter, especially since we didn’t really have one, but life is insistent. The farm feels like Pandora’s Box. Literally boxes of seeds and chicks and bees, are all erupting and growing and gaining momentum. It is so incredibly hopeful and inspiring. I am so grateful to share it with you all 💚
