Customer Appreciation Day: Saturday, 10/24

**Customer Appreciation Day, is this Saturday, October 24**

Join us this Saturday, October 24 from 11-3 for our annual Customer Appreciation Day. Come glean, eat, take a tour of the farm, and stock up on winter provisions.

You all mean the world to us, so join us, invite your family and friends, and we can celebrate a successful year together!

Events of the Day

11am – 3pm: Restaurant open and food available for “purchase” with tickets

11am – 3pm: Farm Store open for purchase of bulk vegetables, flour, beef, preserves, pickles

Noon: Guided tour of the farm

2 pm: Guided tour of the farm

Throughout the day we will be loading up the trucks with vegetable scraps to feed to the pigs, which is a super fun squealing event! We’d love your help clearing the field so that we can turn the soil and plant our winter cover crop and winter grains.

Gleaning

You are welcome to wander through the big field and take *almost* anything you find out there. (If there is a sign that says don’t harvest, please don’t harvest from that section.) In the past, people have loaded up on dry corn, winter squash, carrots, beets, potatoes, and more. It’s a great time to dig in the dirt and just been in the vastness and abundance of the big field.

Bring your farm baskets or reusable shopping bags, hand trowels, and gloves to help in your harvest.

**Only the 25-acre will be open to gleaning. Please do not go searching in the 2-acre or the hoops or tomato houses.**

Restaurant and Eating

This is a special day on the farm. Our restaurant is serving small plates by the ticket. We will have BBQ beef sliders, hamburger sliders, beef chili, vegetable curry, barbacoa beef tacos, tomato & cucumber salad, cookies, and caramel apples. Each dish is 1 ticket. Tickets are $2.50. You can buy as many as you want and fill up on Chef’s farm fresh creations.

Please help us stay safe and healthy by wearing your mask inside the restaurant, farm store, and bathroom and limiting the number of people inside and shopping/ordering to 5.

Seating on the porch will be limited to 20, but seating outside will be unlimited!
