Everything is so precious and vulnerable this time of year. New tiny members of our farm join us every day. Its a little like Pandora’s box. Early on things sneak out of it, but by Easter the top has blown off and everything is flooding out. Our small but mighty team juggles so many responsibilities and details. A solid division of tasks is key to not forgetting anyone/anything.
Someone asked me if I lose sleep over worrying about all the living things I’m responsible for. I guess I’m glad that caring for this place is so exhausting that nothing can keep me up at night.

Sign up for your Summer CSA

Lets be honest, these are last summer’s treats, BUT this week we worked on all these favorite crops.  Strawberry patch moved to fresh ground, tomatoes are transplanted out of their flats into their summer greenhouses, cucumbers are emerging and so are the beans!  I see Rae, our propagation manager doing excited dances every time she crawls out of a greenhouse.  We’re just over a month from our first Summer CSA (May 28th).  We are planting like crazy and we would love to share in the impending abundance with you.

NEW! WE ARE OFFERING HOME DELIVERY!!!  Thats right, all y’all that hate the parking at the market or don’t like the confines of commitment, but really care about the ingredients you cook with…. we’ll get your food to your door.  Not only that, we are doing home delivery in Bend, Redmond, Sisters, and Sunriver! (In city limits… but you could also get food delivered to your workplace).  Its a one-time fee of $300 for the season and works with any share, with or without meat.

Have you heard of our Full Diet CSA?

It really is a crazy idea to go to a farm every week to get all your food.  Its crazy that one farm can raise everything you need to eat, right here where you live.  Its crazy to be a part of such an intimate connection with your food.  Its unlimited veg.  Its pork, beef, and chicken.  Its eggs and raw milk.  Its grains raised and milled fresh here on the farm. Its beans. Its herbs. Its abundance for preservation. Its recipes. Its cookies and farm walks.
More information about the Full Diet HERE or by clicking on the button below.
The share is paid weekly and is a year-long commitment.  We accept SNAP.
