The Pea Shoot Pesto We All Loved

2-3 cups of pea shoots, loose raw

½ cup of lovage leaves 

Any cilantro, parsley, or tarragon (any combination) 

Juice of one lemon 

Two large cloves of garlic 

One tablespoon of pickled pepper juice

1-2 cups of olive oil, depending on desired consistency

1 tsp of salt 

 

Directions: 

Either pound with a mortar and pestle or blend in a food processor until smooth. 

Delicious on potatoes, pasta, meat, and grilled vegetables
