Happy Equinox!
I just revel in this shift. Happens twice a year when the days and nights are the same. In March I am so excited about more light. I’m ready to rumble, coming out of winter and inspired by the promise of spring. Right now, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible team we have had at the farm this season and all of the abundance we have coaxed out of this incredible piece of land.
The diminishing light is most welcome as our farmer minds and bodies want a little more rest. In actuality we are in the sprint at the end of the marathon. The summer crops are loving the weather and farmer’s markets are still going strong through mid October. The winter crops are also ready and needing to come in. We’re harvesting two seasons at once right now and its bananas.
I want to take a moment to remind you to sign up for your Winter CSA. The Winter CSA is a major part of our farm. During the summer we spend a lot of time and energy and dedicate a lot of farm space to growing storage vegetables and raising animals to feed you, our community, all winter long. Please join us on our year round culinary adventure and nourish yourself with food you can trust! (Click HERE or the button below!)
We love that we get to feed you all year. Food is the fuel for all of life’s joys and journeys. We love that it is our purpose, and indeed our pleasure, to provide you with nourishing ingredients through our CSAs, Farm Store, and farmers market stands. Thank you so much for being part of our community!
