“The wedding weekend retreat that we planned at Rainshadow was magical, emotional, significant and spiritual. My husband and I met at Rainshadow several years prior and we couldn’t have imagines committing ourselves to each other in any other setting.
We began our weekend with our rehearsal dinner on their Farm Store porch before ending the evening at their Guest Ranch across the street.
Our wedding day itself was a true desert blessing; moderate weather combined with juniper and sagebrush scenting the air to make a desert girl’s wedding dreams come true. To be married and to celebrate that marriage in a literal garden from which the seeds of hard work flourish could not be anymore poetic.A year later, when we talk to our friends they still bring up how amazing the food at our wedding was. We smoked a whole pig for over 12 hours and feasted on the bounty the land gave forth. Our cornbread wedding cake was a figment of my imagination that they brought into existence and blessed our guests with.”
