Simple Beef Bulgogi
Ingredients

1 lb thinly sliced beef (sirloin, ribeye, or pre-sliced bulgogi beef)

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar or honey

1 tbsp sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp grated ginger (optional but nice)

1 tbsp rice vinegar or mirin (optional)

1 tbsp neutral oil (for cooking)
Optional add-ins: sliced onion, green onion, mushrooms
Optional topping: sesame seeds, green onions
Method

Make the marinade
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sugar (or honey), sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. -
Marinate the beef
Add beef to the bowl and toss to coat. Marinate 15–30 minutes (even 10 minutes works if you’re short on time). -
Cook
Heat a pan over medium-high with a little oil. Add beef (and onions if using). Cook 3–5 minutes, stirring, until beef is cooked and slightly caramelized. -
Serve
Finish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice, in lettuce cups, or with noodles.
