I’ve been scheming.
Here’s the thing, I love how much the Full Diet CSA reminds me of symbiotic organisms. We need you to support us, you need us to feed you. A match made in heaven.
And more matches abound! My household consumes quite a bit of coffee. Anna, a fellow Full Diet member, roasts coffee at Junction Roastery.
If you haven’t caught on yet, here are a few words from Anna to loop you in:
“Hello everyone, my name is Anna and I am a full diet member at Rainshadow! For my day job I manage Junction Roastery Social Club, a coffee roaster and café with locations in both Bend and Redmond.
We roast all our coffee in house, and we are so excited to have our coffee available at the Rainshadow farm store! We source our beans from ethical farms who use organic practices, and we are always keeping the growers well-being in mind.
In the farm store you can find two of our signature roasts, our singe origin Ethiopian called “Berries Baby” and our blend of Peru, Ethiopian, and Brazil called “Daily Grind”. The Berries Baby is a bright and fruity cup that I love making in my AeroPress or as a pour over. The Daily Grind is a smooth and balanced cup that we use in the café for drip coffee, espresso, and our cold brew. It is perfect for elevating your day to day and is delicious no matter how you brew it!
Our roaster, Lauren, can be found early mornings or mid afternoon roasting in either one of our cafés. So, if you find yourself in the area stop by and say hello to her as well!”
What a wonderful reminder that locality matters and that small acts can be truly impactful.
See you all this weekend,
Mel
