Guided Stargazing in the Garden
An Equinox Evening Under the New Moon
Join us in the Market Garden for a special night of stargazing as we welcome the Fall Equinox. With the new moon phase and the changing of the season, it’s the perfect time to pause, look up, and settle into autumn.
This evening will be led by local naturalist and educator Jennie Sharp, founder and director of Starshine. You'll take in the brilliance of Central Oregon’s night sky while, locating constellations, observing visible planets, the moon, and other celestial objects and listening to ancient stories about the stars.
✨ Starshine will provide:
• Skymaps for guests to take home
• Red lights and binoculars to borrow
What to bring:
• A blanket or low chair for lounging on the lawn
• Weather-appropriate layers for a cool desert night
