Workplace CSA is a project of High Desert Food and Farm Alliance with funding provided by Oregon Department of Agriculture Specialty Crop Block Grant. For the 2018 growing season Rainshadow Organics is offering to deliver veggie and/or meat shares to Deschutes County offices.
Rainshadow Organics has been an active farm in Central Oregon for over 25 years! Sarahlee and Ashanti run this beautiful organic farm with experience and pride. They are well-known in Central Oregon and offer great produce and meat! Learn more about their farm at https://www.rainshadoworganics.com/
Main pick-up location will be at 1300 NW Wall St with Juli McKee (exact location TBA).
Other campus deliveries can be made as long as there is space and a contact person is available to help with distribution. Please contact Juli McKee if you are interested in being a worksite contact!
Vegetable CSA Information
Length of CSA:
June 11 – October 8 (18 weeks)
Cost:
$475 ($26.50 a week) to be paid in full by June 1st
Commitment: 18 weeks
Sign-up by March 30th
$100 down at time of sign-up.
Delivery:
Weekly, Wednesdays (times vary based on location). Bring own bag to collect.
Vegetables:
Will vary throughout the season,
6-8 items a week including an herb
Meat CSA Information
Length of CSA:

5-lb box, bi-weekly on Wednesdays (times vary

Will vary each week, meat potentials include
chicken, beef & pork

Eligibility to Use the DOC: Anyone enrolled in the County Employee Benefits Plan, including employees (and their dependents) of Deschutes County or COIC, retirees, and people enrolled in COBRA coverage may use the DOC. The clinic practitioners will see adults and children ages two years and older.
